Yes it is. Unfortunately I don't believe the ide-scsi
driver supports it. So you will only see an impact
on scsi cd writers (I need to check whether it works
on usb and 1394).

the drive either after aborting cdrecord. I noticed that cdrdao unlock
does reset the drive, at least enough that after eject and reload it's
in usable state again.

The other day I tested with dummy option, Plextor CD to Plextor CDRW,
with Adaptec card, and as I did not want to wait the test to finish,
killed cdrecord. Then the fun began, tried eject
