Sorry to hear that.
Is the "lite" dot net rendering engine that matrix includes not enough?
Or perhaps you are viewing that engine thinking it is your "main" .dot
engine, and the lite engine didn't absorb your main engines settings?
I'm just getting started with .net, so sorry I can't offer more h
Just for the record, it seems that installing the Web Matrix removed all .NET settings
from my IIS web server.
I know it sounds like that would be really unusual, but I didn't make any other
changes to the machine. ( Unless defragging the hard drive counts )

Unfortunately I cannot attend this week - prior obligations, but remember
there is MXDC, (http://mxdc.figleaf.com/mxdc/overview.cfm) sponsored by
Figleaf and CF-Fun 03 (http://www.cfconf.org/cfun-03/) coming up in June.
These could be good alternatives.

Exactly, that's the definition of a switch. If you had a modern
managed switch (Cisco, Intel, etc.), you could do port mirroring.
Basically it lets you forward all packets to a specific port so that a
sniffer will work on a switch.

Is it a switch or a hub? That's important. You can only see packets
actually broadcast to your network segment -- that is, everything on your
side of a switch or router. A hub is a 'dumb' unit -- it simply shouts
everything it hears. Switches and routers are 'smart' so you only see

Hmm..went to PC Mechanic to look up the switch review and you are
correct.
It creates a little internal MAC address table and examines packets
coming ina nd out and sends them only to that MAC Address.
Whereas a HUB broadcasts to all and the right computer just picks up the

The switch. A switch keeps miscellaneous traffic off the wire, so the only
thing you can see between your computer and the switch is traffic for your
computer.
At least that's my understanding.
