I generally don't use a DB default for date anymore. I just add in the

I use UTC for ALL database stuff and then just adjust based on the locale of
the user. I learned the hard way years ago when I switched hosts and they
were in a different timezone. All my db transactions used getDate() (or
whatever the syntax is) and it essentially broke my app in a big way.
UTC
Store all datetimes in UTC in the db. Use Timezone.cfc to cast to/from
UTC. http://timezonecfc.riaforge.org/

How do you deal with different time zones?
The server that the application is hosted at is about two hours behind
Trinidad time.
So say for Transactions, if a local transaction happens at 3pm, the
application stores it as taking place at 2pm.
How do you handle that time zone difference normally
Ear plugs.. trust me.
My brother was a drummer for years and he wished he wore ear plugs.
I was in junior and HS band for six years (played saxophone) and wished I
wore ear plugs also. Those high frequencies from flutes can do a number to

Think of it like learning web-dev. Would you rather start out learning
with FrontPage, or Eclipse & (languageofchoice)? ;)
As far as brand, I am a loyal Tama man myself. You can't really go
wrong with the brand names.

Plastic buckets are the big thing in Portland it seems, I know a
couple bands that use "improvised percussion". They actually get
surprisingly quiet when you ask them about sourcing of their buckets.
Seems that each person has a source/brand that they love and guard it

Looking at your call, I'm inclined to assume IE is enforcing some kind of
type on the parameters. Try it without the single-quotes around the values
for size and positioning.

If she is a good drummer as you say, she will out grow the junior set
pretty quick. I'd spring for a full set. You can get used drums very
cheap if you shop around, because a lot of parents buy them then the
kids lose interest. My preference for brand is Gretsch.
