Hi ALL who have been reading this and giving me ideas
I've gathered a bunch of material but I do need is a sample consuming
a web service. I haven't found a sample in CF and ASP.NET (C#
preferred) that uses the SAME WSDL for the sample.. I can find 2
separate ones.. but since I don't know ASP
That would be GREAT Maureen!!!
Much appreciated..

I have a literary anthology going to print for a February release, so
perhaps when I'm finished with those edits, I will have some time for
this.

You know, this sounds like an excellent article if you have a spare moment
to write it up. I know an expert editor or two who can work with you and a
wonderful place to print it. :)

Estimates depend on a lot of stuff - the complexity and quality of the
data, the difficulty of any calculations, etc. If you want to bounce
me a copy of your RFP offlist at mamamaur...@gmail.com I'll give you
some pointers.
Keep in mind that even outsourced to a third party, ASP is going to
cost
I have found a lot of ASP.NET developers, but very few good ASP.NET
developers. Most of those I have interviewed who call themselves
experts cannot even pass the installation part of the test. Frankly,
I can write an entire app in Cold Fusion in less time than it takes to
install and configure AS
Well one has to remember that ASP is far more widespread than CF
Development.
So you will find a lot more average developers out there.
Are you sure you didn't just happen upon an 'average' development house
that didn't know what they were doing?

My company is wanting to switch our website over to Asp.net (Gasp, I know!)
Are there any non-biased comparisons of ColdFusion 8 vs Asp.Net? That would (if
possible) explain to the novice (my boss) the differences and benefits of each.
(Of course I prefer CF, ad I'm the developer.)
