Suppose that I were to incorporate. Then my company would pay tax and
I also would pay tax on whatever income I derive from the company.
That is why it is double taxation and that it why s corporations were
created.

But this makes sense to me. A publically traded company is a corporation. A corporation is a legal fiction giving a company an existinance, separate from any of the owners or workers of the company.
Giving it a life and identity of its own in essence.
This "person" has to pay taxes on its income.

statements of all the companies listed on the SP500 but I would be very
