I can't stand WMP. I find it clunky, cumbersome, overloaded, with too
many basic things loaded into hidden menus. Typical MS.

through all the menus
+10 on WMP 10

So how easy is it to update info on your mp3's? What if i have a genre
set as rock but it should be industrial. Is it easy to fix? Also, does
WMP 10 or iTunes hijack your files? I don't want it tagging my music
with any weird crap or making them unusable in other media players.

In both you can set the default encoding to mp3. And you can turn off
the feature to auto organize files. It's turned off now in iTunes btw,
they learned their lesson after a hojillian irate users crapped down
Apple's throat on that one.
So basically, as long as you stick to mp3 files you can use
iTunes works great for adding/updating song information. I have not yet
seen where it tags anything in the file that should not be there.

Actually O.C.D. is an abbreviation - it should be capitalized and
indicated with periods.
