Actually it's been a bit cool and rainy here. But mostly at night.
It's 46 right now. I was out doing stuff this afternoon and it was

This type of weather is actually normal for Kentucky. Below 0 one week, 60s the
next, then below 0 again.
That is similar to the weather in the plains of Montana, one of the places of
my childhood. One could have a blizzard from the north that dumps several
inches of snow one day, then a few

It's been in the 60's here the last several days ... And this is exactly
how I like it. Warm enough to work outside without a coat, but cold
enough in the evening to light a fire. :)
We had a few weeks of cold though, low 20's. GrrBrrr!!! You all can have
that weather!

Oh it is, it is. Almost as bad as black ice. Hit some of that this
weekend. Four wheel drive means nothing to black ice. Even the
eighteen-wheeler was skidding sideways. And then there are the snow
snakes. Elusive buggers. And quicksnow. Drifting snow that covers the
roads and swallows whole SUVs.

Our Vonage router has two outlets for Phone lines.
I don't know about distinctive rings (we used to have it with our bell
south line) - but I would assume if you had two different phone sets
plugged in, you would get 2 distinctive rings :)
We have an 800 number as well, and it's set to one of our
directly off a Cable Modem.
It only get complicated when you want to use multiple phone lines...

We're using Vonage and have two lines. One phone and one fax.
We use it on our DHCP Cable line with no problems whatsoever.
I can't answer any of your other questions, but just wanted to let you
know we're working on DHCP.

I'm using Vonage, one thing I've had problems with is getting my number
transferred over, that has been a major issue.
However that is going to depend on your location, different telcos operate
in different ways. While the laws say that have to, there are other
obstacles that are in the way.

I've considered it. But one of the things I actually use the phone for
is to call my cable company when the network is down. That could get
tricky if the phone runs over the network connection.
