I have used IPCop in about 20 locations for a previous company and still use it at home now. It used to be based on smoothwall code but has diversified quite a bit now. Why? Anybody use the Smoothwall Firewall? It is a linux distro designed for firewall/router use. The ISO is only 34MB, so

I considered using Smoothwall but opted instead for m0n0wall (m0n0wall.ch). It fits on a Compact Flash card. I installed it on a mini firewall device from Soekris Engineering (www.soekris.com). The whole things cost me under $300. The Soekris device is tiny, no bigger than a home networking
