apparently, there's some city ordinance about shooting in the raw. I
found that out the hard way.

Well, once you get the hang of it, you should be really happy with the quality
you get it, it will blow away results from a P&S.

You have to be VERY careful doing long exposures on the moon and the starts.
What kind of lens did you use? What was the fstop setting?

and these settings:
Exposure: 1/125 sec
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 300mm
