I can play the same files but I would have to start them at the same
time and control them individually.
I want the desktop to be the server and play while the laptop
recieves the same broadcast signal currently playing on the desktop.
That way the music and the picture will be synced.

It all depends on how they want to do it. The biggest thing is if they want
to do real time streaming or pre-recorded files that users can download. It
all comes down the bandwidth really and how much they are willing to pay for
it. Win2k has the streaming media services built in and you
