F5? There should also be a button in the toolbar with a red exclamation point and the text 'Execute'? when you say it's not creating the tables... are you looking at the object explorer (and maybe it needs to be refreshed)? Or are you programatically determining that there ain't no new table(s)?

So, I have a sql script that creates some tables. I'm using sql server management studio express. How do I run the darn sql script? I tried clicking the database engine query icon, opening the file and doing an execute, but it's not actually creating the tables, even though it says it ran. WTF? W
