Probably. My neighborhood probably dates to the fifties. Yeah, as families stay in the same neighborhood the kids grow up, and stop trick-or-treating. Yes, age of the neighborhood matters as well. My development is only a couple years old so it is mostly young families with young kids

The neighborhood she lives in has about 200, and they get some traffic from friends and relatives because it is a good, safe neighborhood with good decorations, lots of parents watching what is going on. And good candy.

When I was younger I lived in a rural area where the neighborhood was made up of mostly 5 acre plots. Usually one of the dads would load up a flatbed and we do a hay ride around from house to house, then after it was over we'd all get together for a party. It worked out pretty well.
