I've got a Maxtor 600GB external USB drive that I use to backup my
laptops a couple of times a week, and 2gb flash drive that I backup my
working directories (CF, docs, etc) at the end of each day. I also
burn my music projects to DVD at critical points along the production
sequence.

I had a nice, shiny 500gb drive that i was backing up my personal files to.
Then, all of a sudden, it stopped working.
I finally got it working again (4 month later), but now have a 2tb buffalo
terastation (raid5) instead, mirrored to a couple of 500mb usb drives for an
extra level of calm.
