well there's such a thing as a lease, but the default is 24 hours... I do
frequently get that message about being connected but without having
internet. Usually (I think) it's an expired lease, or at least,
disconnecting and reconnecting does resolve the problem. This is an
apartment building that

It isn't quite the same thing but my laptop would lose internet
connectivity regularly...but only at home. It just couldn't talk to
the router any longer. And I could not find a rhyme or reason for it.
The thing that I changed that ended up fixing it: I switched my WAP to
a different channel. Sinc
On my old dell laptop, "Fn+F2" would turn on/off the wireless. There was
also a little light on the system to tell me when I'd hit it.
I wonder if there is some key combo tripping you up?
