There's no pound signs in it
No...coldfusion's default session IDs are titled cfid and cftoken. Could be
anything, but the URL you gave us isn't correct so there's nothing else to
use as evidence.

Does anyone know of a tool that can be used to test bandwidth? Open source
is preferred. Pure JS or jQuery is also preferred.
I need to be able to specify a threshold for "low" and "hi" bandwidth with
this tool. Anyone have one or know of one?

my contact had a maintenance
pack, it was invalid because ColdFusion isn't part of CS3. Go figure.

Just install with the built in server, and then run the Web Server
Config tool afterwards.
The CF installer doesn't pick up Apache if you start it's installation
procedure AFTER starting the CF installation process. In that
situation, just quit the CF install and rerun.

I spoke to the product manager and the QA manager for CF8 and they seemed to
indicate that they're certain enough of CF8 that they might not release an
update.
Just passing on their words.

You only need licenses for the machines running ColdFusion, i.e. the
application servers.
Your web servers don't need to be licensed.
On your web servers you simply run the web server config tool,
wsconfig.jar, which you can copy over from one of your application
servers.
