That's not really correct. The .NET Framework is official, and available.
You can't get it bundled with Windows, but that doesn't make it unofficia

One good reason is that CFMX will automatically play nice with .NET and with J2EE -
which are the 2 technologies competing fiercely for the same share. CFMX is sort of
like switzerland during the war .
