I have been working on an encrypt/decrypt alternative that works in(code)
both ColdFusion, Visual Basic .NET, and Visual Basic 6.
This makes encrypted values available to applications outside of

No, learning VB6 first will probably make it harder.
I'd suggest learning C# or VB.NET. There are few real differences between
C# and VB.NET other than syntax but C# has a much higher standing in the MS
community...VB developers still thought
that you can go back and learn VB without
confusing it with VB.NET if you ever needed to.
