Yes... your symptoms sound like a fuel/carb problem. Why it's intermediate, that's
something you'll have to find out.
KenD's suggestion for a fuel filter problem is a good place to start. I'd check the
floats and the needles in the carb too. A vacuum leak would cause it to bog.
