Gents,
I know this one. It's weird, but true..I know because I have one!
In the beginning of the 80's GM started buying "New Process" trannies
from Chrysler and made the 4th gear in these trannies less than a 1:1
ratio to improve gas milage and I assume to meet the new tougher federal
fuel
the vin is right the cowl dose not show the engine
specs they just put v8 on the cowl, the same thing happened to me on my

Duh. Yeah, I did mean the 621 Kurt. The auction you sent mentions that it
won't fit a M-22 and is truck only. Mine was hooked to a M-21 in my
Chevelle. H.

I am cleaning out my garage because we are moving, and I'm listing a bunch
of stuff on Ebay. I am getting rid of an aluminum bellhousing that I had on my
454 with 11 inch clutch. All the ones on ebay are 681's, but this is part number
460486. Anybody know anyhting about this bell? I thought o
I'm going to send them back, but the real problem is where to get one that
works. The one I had on there (that split out) was a much softer compound
and had a much different shape. I don't know what the application is for the
one they sent me, but it's sure not a Chevelle...

Craig, can't you call them and find out?
I've never replaced that part, but someone at NPD has to know if its
different or not.

I know that several people I know have had trouble with that seal. You may want to try the tech advisory at team chevelle.

first of all unless someone was a great welder you should be able to tell by all the brackets. i can find no where that a 80 rearend will bolt up under your car.
i don't have 64 info in any of my books but i do know 64-67 chevelle rearend will bolt under your car. 68-72 will too but the are
Has anybody else had trouble with the cowl
induction seals from NPD? I just bought a couple (one spare) but the thing is so
stiff it wont allow the hood to close. I've got to believe that somebody else
has had this trouble.

That's exactly right. Which is also why, IMHO, if you have a Canadian built
car it is worthwhile to send for the no-BS genuine GM skinny on your VIN.
I'm not trying to generate business for them, but for $39 at least you know
the truth about your car...

Guys , maybe someone can help me out. On my 64 El
Camino I'm trying to find out what the rear end came out of. My friend says
it not a 64 but an 80 model as someone has written 80 on the rear end cover
with one of those yellow markers used in junk yards. It is a 10 bolt posi.
I wonder where
