$3500 sounds like way too much money for a car in that cad of shape. I have had to repair the winsdhield area on my 69 and I can tell you it's not an easy task. I bought a 69 almost identical to the one you describe, 6 banger, 3 on the tree, and I paid $200 for it. I took all the good parts that

An
incorrect 396 Chevelle will *always* bring more dollars (and smiles to the
driver!) than any numbers-matching 6 banger. Try searching this list for
guys who are seeking a numbers-matching 6 cylinder.

away and they basically shut the place down for about ten days. I sure felt
bad about making a fuss and told them so. Gave him my heartfelt sympathy and

I agree sound way high for a car with shot floors and such. The quarters and fenders will add up fast. I got my 68 in a lot better condition for 2500, although motor was shot and the front had a flip up fiberglass front clip. The floors aren't perfect but soild enough. A little waveiness in one qua

3500 sounds like a lot to me. I'd probably go 2500 for that setup. I'd keep the 6 cyl but run the 396 for fun driving until I wanted to go back to original and show it.

I like how you fabbed the filler piece with the "X" shape
to match the factory ribbing on the drivers side
little touches like that make a big

do your pipes turn down at all by the bumper, or are they straight back? I
