Hey gang,
I'm trying to track down an issue of either Rod
Custom or Custom Rodder for a relative from the late
'60's or early '70's. It has a red Dodge Coupe on the
front, either a 1932 or 34, and wondered if anyone
collected or kept copies of these mags back that far.
Please let me know if

A Team Chevelle member already bought that car from Chuck. He was very happy with it. He actually bought it

Thanks for the kind words Jason about the web sites. The ChevelleStuff site has been a learning experience indeed - especially with the trim tag and POP decoding information. It's really interesting how the various plants used different schemes to display information.
Just a quick note to say that we are now carrying Authorized GM vinyl floor
mats (4-pc sets) for:
1964-72 GM A-Body (GTO, Cutlass, Chevelle, Malibu, El Camino, Monte Carlo,
Skylark).
1967-92 Camaro, Camaro RS, Camaro SS, and Camaro Z/28
1953-96 Corvette
1962-78 Nova
1984-87 Grand National
Dump em and get some regular shocks... adjust your ride heigth by other means. Air shocks are good for nothing other then the rear up stance. Give ya wheel hop and ride like crude. You will probably be happier with a regular set. mikey - Original Message - From: Gino Espinosa Sent:

Gino,
Air
shocks were standard on my 67 Elky but not sure about other year Elkys.
Someone removed them long ago but I have a set on my 67 SS that I've had for
quite a few years without problems. Some people like 'em, some hate
'em. Some will even claim they break shock

Can anyone identify the part? Its a tough one so only experienced Chevelle owner/enthusiasts should attempt to even bother looking

I really don't haul around stuff to often, only every so often, like any other truck owner. So I think I might just swap them out. Any recommendations on what type of shocks to get?
Thanks,
Gino

That in an Olds Rally rim. I have about 10 of them here. They used them from at least 1969 all the way through 1988 on RWD Cutlasses. They were painted to match the color of the car they came on.

The valve is also behind the passenger seat in mine. How do I check the pressure? Just put a gauge to it like I would to a tire? There are also two thin clear hoses coming from both shocks to some little valve, I guess, of some sort with screwable caps at each end for each hose. (Sorry for the bad

Appreciate it Galen. Is your 71 a Chevelle or El
Camino? All info I have so far shows the Chevelle stopped being made at KC
(Leeds)in 70 but the Elky was continued thru the 72 year. Maybe my
info is wrong and your trim tag would update some wrong info showing the Leeds
plant
