Rich,
Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted. I should really tape the show.
I always think I can remember things like this at the time of the show
but then I sleep and bingo it's gone.

Larry, some time ago I sent several people on the
list an article on rebuilding the Saginaw steering box. I still have it on my
drive. Would you like a copy? It's 4 pages.

Doing some cleaning and reorganizing today. Anybody want this thing? It got
damaged in shipping a good while back and has been sitting here ever since.
It is bent and has one split in it. I know there are guys out there with TIG
welders and polishers who could fix it, so I figured I'd ask before I

Larry, some time ago
Does anyone know if there are some pics of Chuck's wagon with the new wheels
anywhere on the net? I didn't get to see the show, but I'd love to see how
they look. I've got the same sizes and nearly the same backspacings on
order for my Chevelle, but they're the new American Racing Salt Flat
Are the Salt Flats available in anything wider than 8?

I'm
trying to figure out if the 12 bolt under my '72 El Camino is the one that came
with the car. I got under it with a wire brush and knocked off a lot of dirt and
grease. My "Catalog of Chevelle, Malibu and El Camino ID Numbers, 1964-1978"
says "It is located on the bottom of the left or
the code is on the axle tube. It is not on the bottom, it is on what would be considered the front of the right axle tube and is about 5 inches or so from the center section. It will be written the length of the tube, not around the circumference. Hope this helps.

Only by special order, that's why I get to wait so long for mine. They're
available in 9.5 and 11 widths, in the backspacing of your choice.

I was helping a friend of mine get his Monte Carlo ready for the race season
and I built him a new rear spoiler.
He snapped a picture of my new one and the old one he had.
Anyway he put that picture on his site. We (Wizard.Org) are developing the

Agree with Tom. It should bestamped into the housing
tube itself (not raised letters or cast) and they're not stamped very hard from
those that I've seen and can be difficult to locate and
read.
