well, kinda..
there is an "adapter" that bolts to the car, then
the wheel goes on, then the spinner... and you tighten it all up with a
hammer...
is this how yours are??

There is no set width for the housing, it varies depending on the backspace
of the wheels.
There is no reason I can think of to have different width for 4 link over
ladder bars,sometimes the bars mount under the frame and sometimes inside it

somewhere near the rear however I'm not sure exactly what spot. I want to
get a picture of it while my frame and body are in the mist of a divorce.
