Does anyone know where I can geta bracket for
a 69 Muncie shifter? Not the support strut that mounts on the trans. The one I
need is about 4 inch long and goes from shifter to cross member. I asked a bunch
of people at Carlisle last week and nobody had it.
thanks

Title: Fast ratio steering box
Hi,
I'm looking to change the stock (17.5:1) steering box on my '67 Chevelle. On the web I have seen fast ratio boxes by AGR, and Global West. Has anyone had any experience with these? Did you go to a 12.5:1 or use a variable rate like those offered by AGR?
I have a chance to get a Turbo Hydramatic 350 for my 64 Chevelle to be used with a 69
327 engine.
The trans has a shift kit in it already. Can anyone explain what the benefits of a
shift kit are?
Do I need to be concerned with this trans fitting my 64 and the 69 engine?

Shift kits usually improve the quality of shift. The slur between shifts is
diminished. Minor modifications are usually done to the valve body for
lighter duty ones. Under wot with a good shift kit the wheels will chirp
when the trans goes through the gears. Shift kits also prolong the life of

Would the contest include a clock where there was
none? My 72 did not have that option.

We could find you a clock at a very reasonable price if we don't already have one in stock. I will have to check and see if we do. But I'm afraid we couldn't GIVE away the clock, but we would price it REALLY cheap.

I had my original box changed to the fast ratio by Chris over at
www.powersteering.com, and I've been very pleased with it. It'll come
back completely restored and ready to bolt in for another 35 years.

I have a floor shift and it looks like I can get a replacement shift indicator for it
from a few parts suppliers to match the TH350.
Thanks for the info!
