Howdy..
I'm putting an electric fan on my car this year,
and bought a temp. sensor to control the on/off cycle of the fan.
The switch is supposed to be installed in one of
the heads..
Wouldn't it be better to install the sensor in the
radiator?
after all, the fan is blowing on the radiator,
Dan
the sensor needs to detect the motor temp to
function properly, reading the radiator temp will make it run hotter than it
should.

proportioning valve alone, but it's the change in brake typr (drum to

It doesn't

I dont think so, but I could be wrong on

Yes, that's true. I just got in the bad habit
of referring to it generically as a "proportioning valve". In my car the
distribution block (see I'm improving already) was machined out of a solid block
of steel. The proportioning valve is a casting. The size
I just did this on my 68 about a month ago in the cold and snow... pretty simple. I wouldn't see a problem in using a junk yard prop valve if you can find one with a sealed brake system. Everyone I found was full of crude and rusty looking on the inside so I went with the adjustable unit. Mikey

The hoses are all the same for disc brake cars. Just FYI, you did not need to change that valve that is mounted on the frame, you only needed to add the one up by the master cylinder. Just out of curiosity, why did you have to take the hood off to put the booster on?

Hi: You are better off having the temp. sensor in one of the heads. The reason is you want the electric fan to come on when the temp. in the engine reaches a certain temp. The temp. in the radiator is always going to be lower than what is in the block to keep the engine cool. And your concern is
