I use ACDelco.
Sure wish they'd quit with the changing parts numbers though.
I'd also use Purolater or WIX if I couldn't get AC.
Use to use the PF35, now I use the PF1218.
Same filter with an anti-drainback valve.

IIRC the CarQuest filters are made by Wix, which is owned by Dana. Herb pointed out
the Russ Knize oil filter website and your opinion of Fram seems right in line with
his. ;^) I haven't heard anything about ACD filters being made by a 3rd party; would
there be anything on the box to
Wix also makes the filters for NAPA.

Graham, you can probably start at anywhere from 6-10 degree BTDC. Setting
the initial timing at TDC will be a little on the late side. The motor
might feel a little sluggish on the bottom end. To measure the total
timing, you'll need a timing tap on your balancer, or a dial-back timing
light.
