That's what i was thinking as well, but I wanted to make sure i was getting
the correct pieces without mixing the Nonpost and Post parts. That's why i
was asking if any of those pieces would interchange between the two.
So at this point I guess i need to look for ALL parts from a NON POST car.
The only thing iwould like to add one more thing to your wish list.. A a
Fast ratio, high feed back Steering box.. IMO the 2nd best thing to do to an

I have posted a picture of the hood ornament on my
recently purchased 1963 Impala. Does anyone have any idea what this hood
ornament is? Looks like a J.C. Whitney special to me, lol.

I agree. It would be the real finishing touch for mine. I was unemployed
when I was putting my car back together with new engine and suspension back
in 2001 and the funds just haven't permitted it since. (I deemed EFI a
better way to spend my available money for the moment)
However, I have a

Dan,
Sweet looking ride!! I noticed that your '62 sold;
did you get what you wanted out of it?
I don't know for sure, but I believe Chevy used
that type of hood ornament in the 50's.
Anyway, check this out.

man I would be more nervous than a mouse in an Eagle's nest. You
KNOW they are going to be assessing every little thing about you, how

Hello All,
How interchangable is a frame from a 1971 Malibu Coupe with a body from a 1966 body ? Or is it not at all ? I have the 71' frame all blasted, primered and painted. Alot of work and money invested into the Chasis. I just can't find a decent body for it. I have one, but if I blasted it,
I see many of you talking about having 700 series tranys on your car. I have
a heavy Duty 400 on my Chevelle. Works great! With the 454 engine and the
blower...the gas mileage isn't great. I'm having a 3.73 ratio installed on
my 12 bolt.
First can a 700 trany handle 700+HP? How much gas savings

Hi Dan,
I have Dakota gauges in my Elky. For the most part I like them and they're
great for wow factor when you power up at night. However, I don't like
the tach because it's got very slow response time and it's hard to read
quickly. The speedo is great because you can calibrate it while
The frames are completly different. They interchange 68-72 and 64-67.
