OOPS, so sorry, Rocky beat me to it.
the 79 elcamino has very little value, personalI would not look once
at it let alone twice, you might want to rethink, that project. go with a older
model don't settle for just any truck. pick one with some value, or you will be
throwing your cash out the window. the 60 and 69 years models
Nice welcome there,cloner.

Hi Lee,
Congrats on your purchase- Best of luck with the
car..
When I was a kid, I had a '79 El Camino SS. You can
see a pic of it here:

I know alot of the guys here like the older versions
of the El, my personal favorite is the '59-
Welcome! I don't care what anyone says, those
models are cool. These are some of the last v8 'frame' vehicles around that
don't weigh as much as a tank!

Here's some pictures of an '87 that we put a 383
stroker in. Now we just need a transmission

why invest 5k in a 800 dollar car,,, when you can find a 4200

I took that carpet out and pressure washed it. Overall it made a huge
difference. It didn't get all the nasty stains out but it looks 100 times
better. Thanks for the suggestions!
On another note, I know you all appreciate good wiring. Check out the sweet
duct tape job I found on the stereo.
Holy crap.. after all the wiring I just did for my EFI, I can't imagine
doing anything like that. Using Posi-Lok connectors is somewhat rigged in
my book. The only thing duct tape should be used for would be to hold down
your wiring once it is inside some flexible conduit!
Your pressure washing
I try to stay out of things like this, but
copocloner did come off sounding a bit harsh. The original poster was
just trying to get a recommendation for a local mechanic to fix some carb
issues. Sorry, I dont know any Florida mechanics.
Frankly, Id love to find a good

That's what I thought when I pulled the carpet out of my 69. I only found
two little spots up front on both sides of the floor. May not be as bad as
you think... then again it could be worse ;)
