Try http://autocolorlibrary.com for factory color chips of almost anything.
Probably others as well, but these will get you a start.

That’ll work, has for many years. Just
use a pilot bushing installer or pilot shaft from a trans, something that’ll
snug up in the hole so the grease will force the bushing out.

My own website, http://www.chevellestuff.com Much
of the info came from GM documentation – 06233 would be June 23, 3rd
shift check the last number 3, it may be the letter ‘B’ which would
be more likely for Buffalo plant. ‘Large ring gear’ is the
way GM lists it in their parts book. E149

Last I heard,
they were going to try to keep it somewhere around $10k (plus delivery). Hot

would sell for about $10k. The guys at DII were not exactly happy about Hot Rod
announcing that price. What I heard was t

Hi Guys
Does anyone have any tricks on removing the pilot
bearing (bushing) from the end of the crank..???I have heard of the hydraulic
meathod of filling the cavity with grease and using a dowel...Has anyone else
tried this method..???...Any tricks..??.Thanx for your
input..John
Dale,
I missed a number in there
Should read KD 06233.
On the back of the differential passenger side
flange reads E149
and the driver side back reads CON1
I dont know if those last two are signifigant or
not.
When you say "big ring gear" what exactly do
you mean??
Thank you Dale
Dale,
Also, what book where you using to decode those
numbers. I have been having to "google" all of the numbers on the car and
I just thought asking you guys would be easier and faster than looking through a
thousand web pages. I think some one already "tried" to restore the car
before me
1969 used the 3959038 housing and KD
does show a 2.73 (big ring gear) code for that year; are you sure about ‘0633’?
Should be month/day code if no spacing.

I was wondering if someone with a parts interchange
manual would do me a favor and tell me what the rear end in my Chevelle
originally came in. On the flanges on the differential is stamped:
3959038 NF and on the other side is GM 57. On the axle housing, passenger
side is stamped KD0633.
What does something like that cost?
