Well I found out that the reason for the hose clamp is because at the stock
length the cable does not give enough throw to the pedal. I put it back the
old way for now but I guess what really has to happen is for the pedal arm
to be bent so that it puts more tension on the cable.
And, for anybody
I'm not a car show type myself, but I would expect that the best of show
would have won 1st place in one of the categories already.

I've noticed that if entrants are voting, and they are only voting on a
split ballot that also has a best of show... you get Best of Show
winners that didn't win there class. Example:

I know that you need to change the front springs when
doing an engine swap from small block to big. My question is...do you
need to change them if the vehicle has a straight 6 ? I was told that the 6
block was almost as heavy as the big eight they used the same

You can Bill with stuff from Lokar. If it's a manual trans, it's even
easier - no auto trans hookup to worry about. Probably need a throttle cable
bracket but they sell those as well. I used a 'universal' cable (you know,
doesn't fit anything) and cut it to length along with one of their 'spoon'
