I have a friend who uses a GV unit behind a pretty
healthy 355 with a turbo 350 in a 4000lb 69 Impala convertible. He runs a
4.11 gear and runs 12.20s in the quarter.
When we run eigth mile he does his standard 1 - 2
shift and then uses the overdrive instead of third gear. Since the 2 / O

I have a 1989 305 TPI that I want to put in my 67. The car now has the
stock 250 inline six. What motor mounts do I need, and what do I tell
the counterguy at the parts store?
Thanks,
Dave.

and facing the same direction. Pistons should be marked as to cylinder and
direction when removed. Or are these all new parts??

During the assembly of my motor (original 350 from 92) I ordered an oil filter
from K & N prod # HP-2002. Surprisingly to me the block has no “bolt” for the
filter.
1. Have I ordered the filter? Looks pretty normal to me
2. Is something missing on block? Or do I have some special bloc
Hans,
That block was probably setup for a remote oil filter, and you will
either need the remote kit, or the 'spin on' adapter to allow you to
install the oil filter.

Looks like you're missing the oil filter adapter assembly. I think they're
all the same from 68 and up when Chevrolet went from the canister filter to
the spin-on. Check with you Chevy dealer. Last part # I have is from 75

I had to buy one of those to convert my 1958 block from canister type to
spin-on.

Hey guys, I have a 1970 chevelle malibu 2DR HT running a 350. I am in the
process of replacing my gas tank, but I don't know which type of tank I need. I
did various searches and there are gas tanks with EEC or ECC, with out EEC or
ECC, and with 1-3 vents. I don't know what these things mean. I
Get the one without EEC if you are not in California. Make sure you
get a vented gas cap for it too or you will run into vapor lock issues.
The fitting coming out of the tank in the center is your sending unit that feeds
the fuel to the engine. Get a new sending unit as well.
