John,
This is very sad news. Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences.
I am a happy customer of yours, appreciator of the good knowledge you have
contributed to this list, a private pilot, and a Chevelle owner.
My thoughts are with you,

Back when _Star_Wars_ came out, my car seemed to have adopted "The
Millennium Malibu" as its name.

I would suspect the alternator. Sounds like a diode may have blown or one of
the slip ring brushes is shorted.

I've heard that a windshield is installed in two stages. First to the
body, then a second step to install the trim etc. Is this correct? I
would like to install the front and back glass and later have the trim
done. Is this practical?

I think the sequence number would tell me enough information to try and
get

and paint codes and for some plants, a few options.

I had heard that the VIN numbers on the body are stamped on a few
places. If the plate with stuff that's supposed to show build
information VIN etc. is missing from the dash, where else can I look? I
can get access to underneath. This is for a 65.
Thanks,

At least that is lessening the possibility that the body mounts are
rusted solid -- if they are falling out on the road. It is a lifet
21, and Ditzler (PPG I
believe) is DDL-3302. Remember these are OEM acrylic lacquer paint numbers
and may have changed.

Hi All,
I followed the thread of paint for the 65 Danube Blue and 66 Midnight Blue
colors. Way back then. I'm ready to get the paint for my 65.
I'm looking in the Chevelle archives. But it's good to ask the list.
Does anybody have the Dupont and PPG numbers for 65 paint code E?
Thanks,
