hey john disconnect the positive lead from the battery and put a test light between the positive post and the positive cable if it light up then you have a draw, which over night will run down your battery, James

Sound like you headlight switch is acting up but a hard impact may have busted your dash bulbs, thirty year bulb you never know, make sure your grounding straps are still there, hope this helps. James
