I spent alot of time trying to mount a small block on the wrong mounts doing an engine swap this year.  There is no way it could be done short of enlarging the holes in the engine mounts and driving the bolts in with your biggest hammer.  And then probably not.  It became very apparent that

What's this sound like ?  Car runs fine most of the time,  but sometimes when you are just running along something cuts out or bogs,  you know -  a loss of power.  It doesn't seem like fuel, more like an ignition problem. Anyway sometimes there is an associated popping out the exhaust.    A

Tried to drop 327 and Th350 into my '64 today,  the drive shaft seemed to line up into the transmission but binded somehow.  Swapping a small block for the six and powerglide.   Shoved the drive shaft aside just to see how the engine would fit,  transmission mount and drivers side motor mount
