hi, another question on the TH-400 kick down mechanism,
so the gas pedal controls the switch, but where on the trans does it hook up??
i looked at my trans and cannot find any kind of plug- or electrical connection. the oil pan says "hydromatic GMC" does this mean it came from a truck ?

You can also get a kick down kit for the TH400 from Lokar. Includes the cable, switch, and bracket, SS and aluminum. # KD2400HT, $57.00 from Summit.

Sounds like your vacuum modulator and/or governor setting needs
to be adjusted. If your modulator is adjustable you can do it with a
screwdriver, otherwise you will need

TH400 are electrically controlled for downshifts only. It is controlled by
vacuum for upshifts like a TH350. I have one in my 70. It will shift into
2nd gear at 15 mph,
