The standard filter for 68 to 72 (at least) is an AC Delco PF25, the longer filter (1/2 qt more capacity) is an PF35 and the long filter with the anti-drainback valve is PF1218. If you're using Fram, STP, Purolator, etc, you'll have to x-ref those numbers. The AC part nos. may have been supercede

As far as oil filters go for small block and big block Chevy's, the Fram PH 30 (1/2 QT) is the shortest, The PH 13 (1 Qt) is the standard long one and the PH373 is longest.(2 Qt version).     hope this clears it up     Ken
