So now...I'm curious. Are all long-hairs susceptible to this? My
long haired chi never lost any hair. She is 11 months old and has a
beautiful, silky coat. Might she still lose it all? She was in
season last month so I consider her "adult" as far as that goes...
I was just wondering. Everyb

Okay, sorry for yelling, but I am just so darned excited!!! I bought
my little Tootsie about 8 months ago and she has been my delight
(most of the time).
I got an email a few days ago from the lady I got her from and she is
planning to move due to her job, has no idea where she is going to
go
I hope this works...I wanted to share the pics of my little Tootsie.
She is 7 months old and has completely changed my life. I laugh every
day now.

I think thats a good decision...at least it's the one I would have
made. I love my Tootsie's ears, standing tall and firm, but
sometimes I look back at her puppy pictures, at those adorable floppy
ears, and I realize that I wouldn't mind at all if they flopped on
occasion. Unless you're heade
Tootsie lives by these rules:
1. If I like it, it's mine.
2. If its in my mouth, it's mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while but don't now, it's mine.
5. If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
6. If its mine, it must never appear to be your
I second that. I found my little jewel on PuppyFind. I am in Maine
and there were only two listed in Maine, but one of them was perfect
for me! I got a great puppy and I met a really nice breeder.

Tootsie does that too...she has to "rearrange" everything before
settling in. And she's a thief.
Her favorite game is "look what I found in your room!"

Sheila,
She's 6 months old, almost 7 months, and she gets more active all the
time.
She is such a joy and I can deal with the "wild" behavior if it's
normal...which it appears to be. I guess I've just never had such an
energetic dog before...she is so much fun, though!
Gotta love 'em!

LOL...no problem with that mental image... we live in a small single
wide mobile home...so it's probably not much bigger than your motor
home. One of the things Tootsie does that just cracks me up is when
she decides it's "exercise time". She will run full tilt from one end
of the house to th
Anne,
Thanks, I'd love some tips on teaching her to sit. We have not been
very successful with training, I'm afraid.
I didn't know a lot about Chi's when I got one and I know that I have
made some mistakes, possibly irreparable. Tootsie is 6 months old
and has very few manners. She comes wh
L! They are bred to be pampered and that's why
lots of Chi lovers love them! I am not sure what you can do about
the licking but I would try to break her of the habit before it gets
out of hand.

Tootsie is my first Chihuahua and I'm noticing some things about her
that drive me insane! Is this normal behavior or is my dog psychotic???
First, she get too excited when I come home. I love her dearly and
apparently, she loves me too. She is only home alone for about 2 hours
a day, one ho
Hi all! I've been reading this group for a couple of months now and
