The servers had "learnt" the old Routers MAC address. when you connected the new
Routers , the Server still has the old MAC with it. The Server obviously fired after
it learnt the new MAC.
You would get a similar issue when you suddenly disable a Server from your server Farm

A good place to start is at CCO, do a search on ATM. I found:

adding PVC to the search criteria turned up a bunch more, like PPP over ATM:
Tell me where you are and I'll try to help you. I am running tacacs against
about 40K cisco routers in several autonomous "domains." Although not yet
perfected, I think I've got it down pretty pat.
It's a combination of running the tacacs daemon, the tacacs config files on
the server and the

Hi,
Agree with you partialy, and I think the statements of B and D are also not
apply, because the telnet access with 172.16.16.1 as source and 172.16.32.1
as destination is denied, and the same as telnet access with 172.16.30.12 as
source and 172.16.32.12 as destination.
However, this question
Hi,
Im trying to figure out how to configure my boot.ini file so it will
boot into win98.
I have 2 40 gig drives in my server, on 1 HD is W2K Advanced Server
on the second HD was in98.
Currently I have:

Priscilla,
As far as I understand, all Ethernet media adhear to the 52 bit-time rule.
Full-duplex
media has the loopback and collision detection disabled, but it still has
exactly the same
mechanism as half duplex ethernet.
However the particular statement is true for Multi-mode Fiber (MMF)
Brandon,
Win98 must be on the first bootable HD partition. It is always specified at
the end of the boot.ini file as C:\Windows (or whatever folder name you
used).

Your statements should read;
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced
Server"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\Windows="Microsoft Windows 98"

Hi,
yeah, CISCO wording in their test questions can be very confusing,
I think in this case,
what they're actually asking is:
which of A, B, C or D is NOT AFFECTED by the access-list statement ?
If they asked "what would not be affected"
instead of
"what would not apply"
it would be clearer.
B, C

Very well said Priscilla, more or less what I was trying to say from memory.
Also included in this is that when a collision is detected a jam is sent on
the wire and the back off mechanism comes into play, should another
collision occur, then another back off of a longer period takes place, and
