It seems to me that IS-IS topic has just been added recently to CCNP routing
exam, as it is not addressed in Preparation for Routing exam book by Cisco
Press.
Does any one know any of the good book or Cisco Documents that cover this
topic. Thank you very much.

I might differ a bit here.. like this never happens ;)
find a used 500-CS( or CS-500) which runs about 1/4 to 1/2 of the 2509/11. A
cheapo memory upgrade gets you 10.3 IOS which has enough features to make it
useful.
Brad- I would almost recommend a 2912 or 2924 over the 1900. You need both
but
"Here I am..Stuck in the middle with you" all those
exams for nothing ;-)

Hi group
In my network I have a CISCO 3600 Router and a NORTEL Baystack 450 switch.
its a manageble switch. I want to make VLAN and a make this switch VLANs
oprate as
routers's FastEthernet subinterfaces.
I have do it with CATALYST 2924 switches. I made some VLANS and my router's
FastEthernet
port
I can ping my terminal server (2511) but when I attempt to telnet to it I
get the message " connection to host lost"
Any suggestions?
Pierre-Alex

I Have recently passed the final exam for my CCNP. Thanks for all the help
and good luck to all those that are working towards their own. I will be
heading down the track to CCie in security. Thanks again!
Used lots of self study and hands on to get it done, along with various
practice test
try
e.g
conf t
cont e1 0
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31
then you will see a virtual interface appear
int s0:0
then
conf t
int s0:0
ip address 1.2.3.4 255.0.0.0
this will use timeslot 1-31 of the first e1 to be 1.2.3.4
for different timeslots just use a different times slot group
e.g
channel
10 matches
