Be easy, just follow the blue print for the written exam and make sure you
understand the material. If at anytime you feel you don't understand
something look it up on CCO and if still uncertain just post your questions
here and I am sure someone will be able to help.

Hello to all,

You need to set the configuration register to 0x2102.
This enables the router to boot from flash.

Larry,
Yah,
I just got a SUP III (WS-X5530-E3) for my Cat 5005,
all the light come up green but I can not get a prompt.
I check the cable and everything else.I tried getting a prompt
on one of my other switches using the same set up and I get a prompt.
I think this SUP might have a bad console port.

Does this WS-X5534-E1-GESX supervisor module support L3 switching? Or do I
still
need a RSM. I tried looking it up in cisco's site but I haven't had any
luck.

For those who have used NLI's CCIE RS Written Combo (Book/Test 3), how
would you rate it?
I also noticed Cisco recommends it in their reading list.
Any comments are appreciated.

I had the same issue only that I was upgrading form 8mb flash to 16mb. After
about an hour of research on the issue I found that I needed to upgrade the
Bootrom.
I currently have the old which is 10.2(5), I think, and I ordered the
upgrade which is 11.something.
