The best way is to get a box with multiple serial interfaces such as a 2522
or 2523 and configure it as a frame switch. This seems to be the most common

Tacacs+ for linux, set up AAA on the router, log to a file, and run swatch
or logwatch to email you when changes are made.

I don't think so, not just yet anyway. As long as you can implement the
technologies that are tested on the lab on a 2500 router then you'll be good
to go. Once the technologies that are tested are no longer supported on the
2500 platform then there is a problem.

I think you could do what you want by using the rate-limit command (CAR)
with a mac acl. Just give the mac addresses you want blocked "0" bandwidth
and they're finished!

Don't you have to retake the written and lab exam if you are suspended? My
understanding is you can take the recert test while you are inactive and if
you don't do it during that time you are suspended and have to sit the
entire test again to regain active status.
