I do not think he has revised one yet. I am looking for one too. I need to
pass the CCIE qualifier but I am also studying for the lab at the same time.
I have the Caslow book that has Appletalk and IPX in there. It is a good
book because there is a lot of useful information in there.

Sure it should work. Make sure you have PPP configured properly. Dont forget
to use the hostname of the router as the username on the Windows 2000
server. (Unless you like to specify a different username) Also make sure
your password are the same.
Cheers

Sam,
Yes that back-to-back config works, yet you will not gain the knowledge and
skills that I think you are after.
It's true, you do need a third router to be the frame cloud, but that
doesn't buy you much either. The key is to make the frame switch, also a DTE

Hi there,
1) You misconfigured the IP on 2511's S1 interface.
2) 2511's S1 is missing an "enc ppp" command.

Cisco. The solution involves a hidden command, and a special convoluted
password to get into said mode. After getting into that mode, another hidden
command will remove the password, allowing you to reboot the machine and get
What is the status of the main interface you are configuring this
Frame-relay subinterface on?
I have typically seen a "deleted" status for a PVC to mean that the PVC
within the frame-relay net you are connecting to is not built.
