Every time I have had the orange alarm light on one of my WIC cards, AND I
was sure that all the cabling and everything on my end was OK, I found that
it was the carrier. I would have them do a thorough diagnostics and see if
they can latch on to your CSU, etc.

A 56k CSU/DSU uses pins 1&2 and 7&8. You could use a spare console cable.

Is it possible to configure a 1602 as a frame-relay swich like a 2501? If a
1602 has 2 56kbps wic cards, can you connect another 2 1602's to this and
setup frame relay?
I see that the 1602 takes the frame-relay switching command and also encap
frame-relay, frame-relay lmi-type.. com
