I got a Catalyst 3524 with two GBIC modules and two fiber cable that I
would like to trade for a Catalyst 2901 or an equivalent switch that can
do ISL/802.1Q and CatOS. Or if you feel you got a decen/equivalent in

I would like to trade my 2511(terminal server) router that comes with
16megs of flash and 16megs of dram and my Catalyst 1924 EN menu-driven
switch for a Catalyst 2900 that does CatOS or a CAT5000. I don't mind
paying a bit extra for the CAT5000. Please reply if interested.

Someone had posted earlier in the week wanting to know where to get a
Catalyst 2901 switch, which is like a Catalyst 5002 with a Supervisor 1
and a 5213A blade (12 10/100 ports).

yes its worth it.
Although the 2901 does have "slot modules" its
buy the 3500, you will like it

If budget is an issue then the 2901 is less expensive. It has the CatOS.

I have a Cisco 2901 Switch. When I bought the Switch it had IOS version
2.1(8) loaded. The Switch was working great until I decided to install IOS
4.5(5), so that I can practice ISL/Trunking.
I upgraded the Supervisor module to version 4.5(5) as follows:
100BaseTX Supervisor WS-X29

The Catalyst 2926T supports Fast Etherchannel on its supervisor
ports. The 2901 does not.
Isn't a 2926T really a Supervisor 1 WS-X3009 and a WS-X5224 24 port 10/100
blade? And isn't a 2901 really a Supervisor 1 WS-X3009 and a WS-X5213 12
port 10

Is there a command I can use to make a Catalyst
2901 (non XL) show me my previously entered commands by using keystrokes like
the up arrow (VT-100) etc. I would rather not have to type 'his' end enter
