AFAIK, collisions on a serial interface cannot happen. Perhaps, I'm wrong, but as Brian said, collisions are a side effect of half-duplex transmissions where the two ends try to transmit at the same time. I can't think of any other specification besides ethernet where collisions can happen. Mik
