Dual Homing Novell Servers to 2 Cat 6500's [7:27690]

We are installing 2 6500's in the core. We want the Novell servers to have Gig connections to each 6500. How is this configured on the server end. I assume each card has unique IP's? Will the server get confused with 2 IP's on the same subnet? The 6500's have the MSFC2 card and is running HSR

Hello, Bill. In my experience, when you try to bind the second address, NetWare will complain that they are on the same subnet as another interface. It's been a while since I have tried this, so I may be using dynamic RAM without a refresh. :-) Consider putting each interface on a different su

Bill, If there is two cards installed in the server and it is on the same IP subnet,then each card can have an IP in the same subnet range. For examp NIC1 can be 192.168.0.1 and NIC2 can be 192.168.0.2. The server will be able to differentiate the cards. If for instance the Cat6000's are going
