Need a little more information.
So I am clear you have:
CPE - T1 Telco - PRI-- CPE
Is it a full T1 point to point, all 24 channels? If it is full T1, I don't
understand the reasoning behind wanting it this way, and I don't see it
working.
On the same physical T1, can you
saw a design the other day that consisted of ISDN PRI circuits at the host
and T1 circuits ate the remotes. According to the person who specified this,
there are no end to end problems - that this is standard operating
procedure.
I am unable to find any written materials on this topic. Anyone
This one has me stumped too, Chuck. A PRI is physically a T-1,
but it's channelized and connects to an ISDN switch. I don't
understand how they would connect a PRI on one end to a point-
to-point T1 on the other.
Unless, that is, the PRI is nailed up all the time, in effect
giving them a
Atlas 550 Integrated Access Device will do this for you ..
Also cost may be a factor as generally PRI 's were cheaper that T1's
Maybe also the telco had the PRI'S allready installed
From a PRI perspective the PRI's tend to work better with the telco
switches. Seems that the 64 K channel works
