you should be able to exit all the back to the opening menu,
or else reboot the switch and start over with your console
connection

LARRY,
Thanks for replying back to me. I couldn't go back all the way since like
beginning. I don't know why. Like I said, when the switch boots , it just
goes directly to Menu Command and ask me for the password. Please let me
know if you know how to work on this issue
Thanks,
Hai,

Larry,
It's annoying because when i am trying to get out all the way from the
management console, it kept asking me the password and when i entered the
password then it's just brought me back in to the menu configuration option
which I don't want. I forgot to chose K - for Command Line Interface
If this switch has Enterprise on it, there should be a menu option [K] to
take you to the command line. Otherwise, can you go to the command line on
a 1900 not running Enterprise?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for replying back to me. Actually, I tried to go all the way back to
select the K option but it couldn't work out. Whenever I am trying to
access all the way back then it asked me for the password which I set
through the M- MENUS option. When I entered the password then obviously,
Maybe Michael knows for sure, but if you don't have enterprise edition on
it, I don't think you can get to a command line. Those varieties of the 1900
don't have IOS on it.

If it is an older original 1900 switch, you will need to use a null modem
cable and HyperTerminal.

If he is using Hyperterminal
If he is using Hyperterminal to the console port, he should be using a roll-over cable.
Also, make sure the DB9/RJ45 connector pin-out are correct. Don't have my chart handy
or I would include (it's available on CCO somewhere + I'm sure it's in the archives).
