In my opinion, you should know the basics of IS-IS for the RTING (BSCN) 640-603 exam even though it's not mentioned in the blueprint. For instance, what is the administrative distance of ISI-IS? (115), does IS-IS support VLSM? (yes), is IS-IS classless? (yes), etc. I wouldn't expect any major que

I just passed the new routing exam. 640-603 I had two questions that had to do with IS-IS. I can tell you that they were not configuration specific. I would recommend just knowing what type of routing protocol IS-IS is, and what propoerties apply to that type of routing protocol. IE - Just know
