Just to get all the assumptions out on the table: - The 6509 Supervisor console port takes a standard black or blue Cisco rollover cable to connect to your terminal or terminal emulator. You connect the "CAB-OCTAL-ASYNC=" cable from your 2620 directly to the console port and it should work, provi

I know that the Sup III cards for the 5500 series use a straight Ethernet patch cord rather than the standard rolled console cable. I don't know about the 6509. Try going from the AUX port of your router to the switch with first a rolled cable - if that fails then try a straight. > -Original
